Samsudin sam_gaki@yahoo.co.id B. Suryono sam_gaki@yahoo.co.id
Recently, there were many reports a occurence of iodine deficiency disorders (/DD) and extension of goitre area in lowlands urban which should be enough of iodine. Air pollution caused by motor-vehicle has reached high level in urban area (60-70%). Research in Yogyakarta (1997) found 55,9% subject was contaminated by plumbum. Another research found there were mothers with low iodine status. It is expected other factors were inhibiting iodine utilization process. The child bearing age women (CSA W) are among vulnerable group when incured lead exposure. It is related to possible hazard to their pregnancy and foetus. The aim of this study was to find prediction model the thyroid function based on age and blood lead level factors among CBAW with risk of plumbum exposure in urban area. Study design was cross-sectional. This study conducted in crowded traffic area in Yogyakarta. Subject were 99 CBAW 15-49 year. Blood lead level was analyzed by AAS method; TSH-FT4 by ELISA; U/E by APDM; haemoglobin by CyanmetHb; data of cyanide and protein intake were collected by interview using Semi-FFQ; and nutritional status was determined by BM/. Proportion of hypothyroidism was 19,2% (95%Cl: 11,4%-26,9%). The CBAW with high blood lead level was 49,5%. Logistic regression test result showed there was relationship between blood lead level with thyroid function (p=0,018, RR=3,99). The contribution of age was very small (p=0,031, RR=0,92). The t test result showed there was no relationship between cyanide, protein and iodine consumtion, haemoglobin level, and nutrition status with thyroid function. The high blood lead level was the risk factor of hypothyroidism among CBAW with risk of plumbum (Pb) exposure in urban area.
2009-12-21T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://e-journal.poltekkesjogja.ac.id/index.php/MGMI/article/view/2359 INDEK MASSA TUBUH (IMT) PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR HIPERTIROID DI DAERAH MAGELANG 2024-05-28T12:47:03+07:00 Sri Supadmi s_padmi@yahoo.com Suryati Kumorowulan s_padmi@yahoo.com
The problems of nutrition are both of less and over diet. There are caused unbalance of eating pattern. Women of child bearing age with hyperthyroidism will decreased their body weight even though their appetite still good. The data of Healthy Ministry at 2007 shown that 30 million of 118 million women of child bearing age are suffer less chronic energy The result of Riskesdas at 2007 shown that prevalence of obesity on women are 23,8%. To know the relationship between hyperthyroid with BM/ and to know the ratio of prevalence of Body Mass Index with hyperthyroid and normothyroid. The research used cross sectional design with quantitative analyzed. The sample of research consist two group of sample. The first group, women of childbearing age with hyperthyroid; and second group, women of childbearing age with normothyroid. Each group consist of 50 women of childbearing age. Range of age is 15-49 years old. The location of research is at Magelang Central Java. BM/ value of women of child bearing age average 23 with standard deviation 4,07. The lowest and the highest value of BM/ are 16 and 44. Age mean of Women of child bearing age is 34 years old with Standard Deviation 5,98. Hyperthyroid relation with BMI (p=0,05; RP=0, 30; 95% CI: 0,09<RP<1,04). Age relationship with BM/ (p>0,05; RP = 0,93; 95% Cl: 0,18<RP<4,67). There is no relationship significantly between hyperthyroid with BM/ value. Women of child bearing age with hyperthyroid may suffer abnormal BM/ value 0,30 times higher than women of child bearing age with normothyroid. Women of child bearing age with less than 40 years old may suffer abnormal BM/ value 0,93 times higher than women of child bearing age with more than 40 years old.
2009-12-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://e-journal.poltekkesjogja.ac.id/index.php/MGMI/article/view/2360 HUBUNGAN ANTARA STATUS IODIUM DENGAN STATUS GIZI PADA ANAK RIWAYAT HIPOTIROID 2024-05-28T12:57:09+07:00 Prihatin Brola Sukandar drbro_gaki@litbangkes.depkes.go.id Ina Kusrini drbro_gaki@litbangkes.depkes.go.id
Iodine Deficiency disorder (/DD) is a still serious as nutrient problem in Indonesia. The purpose of the research is to know the relationship between Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSHs) with nutritional status of children aged 3-7 years which ever therapies in BP2 GAKI Magelang. The samples were 44 children take from Magelang regency Central Java on July to December 2008. The design of the research was "cross-sectional" study. The data collected were concentration of TSHs, nutritional status weight/high (W/H), weight/age (WIA), high/age (HIA)). The concentration of serum TSH was divided three group (<0.3 hyperthyroid, 0.3-5 normal, >5 hypothyroid). The data of W/H were divide into three group (Z-score<-3SD severe wasted, -0.3 - -0.2 SD wasted, >-0.2 normal. The data of W/A were divided into three group (Z-score<-3SD severe underweight, -0.3 - -0.2 SD moderate underweight, >-0.2 normal. The data of HIA were divided into three group (Z-score<-3SD severe stunted, -0.3--0.2 SD stunted, >-0.2 normal. Serum's TSH of children was taken two milliliter and analysis of its in BPP GAKI Magelang's laboratory by Elisa reader method. These data were analyzed by using Spearman's rho test. The result show the hypothyroid serum of TSH was 43.2 %. The wasted data of W/H was 20.5%, the underweight data of WIA was 45.5%, and stunted data of HIA was 66%. The relationship between TSHs and H/A is significant at 0,019 (Using Spearman's rho). The relationship between TSHs and WIH, between TSHs and WIA is not significant. It was 0.170 and was 0.918. This means that the stunted of children relationship with hypothyroid.
2009-10-13T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://e-journal.poltekkesjogja.ac.id/index.php/MGMI/article/view/2361 TINJAUAN ASUPAN ZAT BESI, PROTEIN DAN VITAMIN C PADA IBU HAMIL YANG ANEMIA DEFISIENSI BESI DI PUSKESMAS MLATI II SLEMAN 2024-05-28T13:16:18+07:00 Tri Hidayah tri_h@yahoo.com Supartuti tri_h@yahoo.com Tri Siswati tri_h@yahoo.com
Prevalence pregnant mother anemia at Yogyakarta Provinsi may as big as 30,13% with details at Yogyakarta City that is 26,79%, at Bantu! as big as 21,55%, at Kulon Progo as big as 42,39%, at Steman as big as 43,90%, at Gunung Kidu/ as big as 58,70%.
