The purpose of this study is to minimize the danger of workplace<br>accidents in the furniture production of PT X by implementing JSA method. The study was an<br>observational descriptive study. The respondents/sample was 119 out of 169 workers who are<br>selected by using random sampling technique. The data showed that machine II had the greatest<br>potential for work accidents. These conditions were obtained from the data in previous year,<br>interviews and direct field assessments. The danger posed by occupational accidents can result<br>in serious or minor injuries to workers' limbs. The OHS section of the company has carried out<br>PPE control, installing OHS signs and initial training. However, work accidents still occur in 2018<br>and 2019. The results of the study indicate that the potential for work accidents can be minimized<br>by increasing the OHS work program in the company including: improving the quality of<br>PPE, improving OHS discipline, and finally the application of the method of substitution on a tool<br>that could potentially cause danger. Thus, the potential hazards and risks can be prevented and<br>managed properly. However, abandoned magnet or magnet waste has potential harm for environment<br>and human. The purpose of this study was to reduce the accumulation of magnet waste and utilize<br>it as a source of electrical energy, by means of rotating the pedal of in the created tools, and<br>then the energy is then delivered to anchor component and then to capacitor. The study was a<br>pre-experiment with post test only design, where the electrical energy was used to LED lamp<br>and to charge mobile phone. The results showed that the power plant can turn on LED lights for<br>15 minutes, and can charge mo-bile phone, i.e. in 5 minutes obtained 2% battery increase, in 10<br>minutes 4% increase, and in 15 minutes 6% increase. Water with high level hardness is<br>very dangerous for human health, specifically for kidneys. MPN coliform as one of bacteriological<br>requirements for water quality is an indicator for excreta pollution. The aim of the study was to<br>decrease water hardness and coliform in water wells of Jimbung Villages in Kalikotes, Klaten by<br>installing ZeRAK filter, which consists of zeolite, resin, chlorine and activated charcoal. The study<br>was an experiment with pre-test and post-test design. As a study sample were 45 wells that were<br>connected with plumbing in that village. The results show that before the filtration, the average of<br>water hardness was 270 mg/l, while post-filtration it was 44 mg/l (84%). Coliform pre-filtration<br>were in a range between 111 and 1898 MPN per 100 ml, and after treatment they were between<br>0 and 7 MPN. Statistically, the differences are significant (both p-values &lt;0,001). To conclude,<br>ZeRAK filter used in this study is effective to decrease water hardness and coliform.</p> Haryono Haryono Agus Kharmayana Rubaya ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2020-05-04 2020-05-04 12 2 63 69 Pemanfaatan Limbah Buah Jeruk sebagai Bahan Pupuk Organik Cair https://e-journal.poltekkesjogja.ac.id/index.php/Sanitasi/article/view/1026 <p>In Yogyakarta City, the most waste comes from markets and settlements. One market that produces<br>highest waste is Kranggan Market which produces 95% of organic waste, containing vegetables<br>and citrus fruit waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ingredients<br>composition of citrus waste on the chemical content (N, P, K and pH) of organic liquid fertilizer.<br>The study was a quasi experiment with post test only design. The study data was analysed<br>using one way anova at 0.05 significant level, and the results show that the N content obtained<br>p-value 0.961, the P content was 0.962, the K content was 0.948, and the pH was 0.702. The N<br>content had the highest average at 2 kg, i.e. 0.08%; meanwhile the K content was at 3 kg composition,<br>0.05%; and pH was at 3 kg composition, 3.7. It can be concluded that the all compositions<br>have not meet the required minimum standards, meanwhile the P content has fulfilled<br>SNI 19-7030-2004 with standard &gt;0.10%, i.e. at 1 kg composition has an average of 0.10%, at 2<br>kg composition, of 0.11%, and at 3 kg composition, of 0,11%. It can be concluded that the overall<br>liquid organic fertilizer from citrus fruit waste have not meet the 2004 Standards. The results of a preliminary study in mushroom home industries showed that</p> <p>100% workers complaining of pain in the limbs after work so that efforts to overcome this situation</p> <p>is needed. The purpose os the study was to reduce the complaints of musculoskeletal disorders</p> <p>among mushroom seeding workers in Klangon Village of Argosari, Sedayu, Bantul by implementing</p> <p>workplace stretching exercise. The study was a quasi-experiment with pre-test posttest</p> <p>with control group design. The exercise interventions were given in five days with one frequency</p> <p>a day, and 8-10 minute duration per session. The study samples were 31 female workers</p> <p>who were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was the</p> <p>Nordic Body Map questionnaire with 17 sekeletal muscle focus points. The data were analysed</p> <p>by using Wilcoxon Rank Test and Mann Whitney at α=0,05. The results showed that the reduction</p> <p>average of musculoskeletal disorders in the experiment group was 84,16%, meanwhile</p> <p>in the control group it was 7,16%. The p-value obtained from statistical analysis was &lt;0,001 indicating</p> <p>that the reduction different between the two study groups was significant. Gadingsari<br>Village in Sanden, Bantul Regency produces waste such as rice husk and cigarette packs. Both<br>types of waste contain cellulose which can be utilised in recycled paper production. The aim of<br>this study was to utilize waste into a recycled paper and identify the tensile strength and absorption<br>of water on recycled paper. The study was an experiment with post test only design. The<br>measurement consisted of water absorbency and pull srength of the recycled papers. The production<br>of recycled paper was yielded from three variations of comparison, i.e. 1:1, 1:2 and 0:1<br>(control). The average results of the water absorption test were 56,2 mm, 67,4 mm and 95,6 mm,<br>meanwhile the average of tensile strength test were 1,64 N/mm, 1,80 N/mm and 3,80 N/mm.<br>Based on the testing of paper water absorption, it is known that all variations of paper conforms<br>the standards according to SNI 0499 in 2008, which are 50-100 mm. While testing the tensile<br>strength of paper in accordance with the SNI 14-6419 standard in 2001 is a variation of control<br>which is a minimum of 1,96 N/mm with a result of 3,80 N/mm. One of the causes of diarrhea is contamination of Musca<br>domestica flies. Various types of fly control can be implemented. This study proposed an innovation<br>device on fly control, called “adhesive tree”, which is categorized to physical mechanical<br>control. The purpose of this study was to reveal the capability of this device at chicken farm in<br>Plalangan Village of Pendowoharjo, Sleman. The study was quasi experiment with post test<br>only control group design. The data were analysed by using independent sample t-test. The<br>results showed that adhesive tree, in average, were able to trap more flies than conventional<br>adhesive paper did. i.e. 24 flies compared to 4 flies. The p-value obtained from statistical analysis<br>was 0,001 which confirms that the difference is significant. Wingko is a semi-wet food that can be easily<br>overgrown with mold. Wingko production activities are closely related to the use of packaging<br>paper and the type of coating paper. One natural ingredients containing essential oils, flavonoids,<br>and tannins as antimicrobials are galangal. The aim of the study was to know the concentration<br>variation of galangal coated paper to inhibit of mold contamination on wingko. The study<br>was an experiment with post test only control group design. The data collection techniques<br>was visual observation and using a checklist. The observation was carried out on wingko after<br>have been exposed to galangal coated paper during the end of the shelf life or the appearance<br>of mold. The observation of the mold was on top, bottom, right and left sides of the wingko surface.<br>The results showed that among the 3 variations of treatment (30%, 40%, 50%) and the<br>control, the mean of the shelf life of Wingko after intervention, were 5; 5; 5,3; and 4.1 days, respectively.<br>Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the addition of galangal liquid with<br>50% concentration to coateing paper is the best variation of for inhibiting mold contamination on<br>wingko and is able to extend the shelf life of wingko.</p> Atika Silvia Melyawati Choirul Amri Lilik Hendrarini ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2020-05-04 2020-05-04 12 2 100 105
