Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) Pasien Tuberkulosis Resisten Obat dan Kecenderungannya Terhadap Efek Samping Pengobatan

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Tuberkulosis Resisten Obat masih menjadi global burden disease  di dunia, dan malnutrisi dapat membuat tuberkulosis menjadi semakin parah. Pengobatan TB RO cukup kompleks, dan dapat menyebabkan efek samping yang memberatkan.


Tujuan :Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kecenderungan IMT terhadap efek samping pasien TB RO.


Metode :Studi ini adalah penelitian deskriptif retrospektif, yang mengambil data sekunder pasien TB RO di RS Moewardi tahun 2016-2019 sejumlah 246 orang.


Hasil : Pasien underweight dan normal cenderung mengalami efek samping yang berat (20-22,9%), sedangkan pasien overweight memiliki kecenderungan efek samping berat yang lebih kecil (14,3%). Efek samping yang sering ditemui adalah gangguan gastrointestinal (mual, muntah, dll).


Kesimpulan : IMT mungkin berpengaruh terhadap keparahan efek samping yang dialami pasien TB RO, karena sulitnya kebutuhan nutrisi yang dapat tercukupi.
